Adventist Students Achieve Top Scores in 2024 Philippine Nursing Licensure Exam

The Adventist nursing community is celebrating once again as the recent Philippine nursing licensure examination results revealed that six Adventist students from various Adventist schools across the country secured spots in the top 10. 

Zynarik Alzola Tabelisma from the Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP) took third place with a score of 91.60, and Danielle Ramonal Cena from Mountain View College (MVC) came in sixth with a score of 90.80. Amanda Riel Climaco Casingal from Manila Adventist College (MAC) achieved the 8th spot with a score of 90.40. Antonio Alexi Gauzon Gayares from AUP placed 9th with a score of 90.20, while Hannah Nicole Badon Jose from MAC and Sheynireen Andrea Atiteo Tanamal from AUP both tied for the 10th spot with scores of 90.0.

On May 14, 2024, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) of the Philippines announced that 7,749 out of 11,116 candidates had passed the May 2024 Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination that the Board of Nursing had administered at various testing locations nationwide.

"The quality of education that Adventist schools provide in the field of health and healing is truly evident, and we praise the Lord for showcasing our ministry of healing through these licensure examination results," said Dr. Lalaine Alfanso, Health Ministries Director of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division.

In addition to securing top spots, Adventist-operated schools demonstrated excellent overall performance in the recent examination. The Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP)  achieved a 100% passing rate, with all 80 students passing.The Northern Luzon Adventist College (NLAC) also achieved a 100% passing rate. Central Philippine Adventist College (CPAC) had a performance rate of 97.50%, Manila Adventist College (MAC) achieved 96.43%, and Mountain View College (MVC) delivered a 98.98% passing rate.

In recent years, Adventist schools have consistently excelled in the fields of health and medicine, demonstrating significant progress and achievements. These successes reflect the schools' unwavering commitment to spreading the message of God’s love through their dedication to medical education.
